Survey: 99% INDIANS SUPPORT SMOKE FREE LAWS IN PUBLIC PLACES
The Voluntary Health Association of India (VHAI) and the Healis Sekhsaria Institute for Public Health, Mumbai had commissioned a survey in New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai on smoke free laws.
One of the main findings of the survey was that over 99% of the people strongly favour the enforcement of smoke free regulations in public places.
You are also aware that the smoke free laws came into effect in India from 2nd October, 2008. The law fundamentally envisioned all public and work places in the country would have to be smoke free.
The survey was conducted by Synovate's Global Omnibus.
