Kerala Voluntary Health Association (KVHS) released the findings of the Air Quality Monitoring Study conducted in the four urban districts of Kerala on 20th Nov, 09 at Press Club Hall, Thiruvananthapuram. The study was released in a press conference amidst presence of over 33 journalists both from the print and electronic media.

The key resource person represented at the event were Mr. Janardhana Ayar, Hon. Director, Regional Cancer Association, Thiruvananthapuram, Dr. N.K. Jeevan, Director of Health Services, Kerala and Dr. A.S. Pradeepkumar, Nodal Officer In charge, Tobacco Control, Govt. of Kerala.

All the mainstream publications of Kerala carried the stories informing that "the tobacco control laws are not strictly enforced in state" according to AQM study conducted by Kerala Voluntary Health Association.
